Nile Humanitarian development Agency flagged off a team on the 29th of September 2022 that headed to Karenga district, Kapedo Sub County to launch a humanitarian response following the recent famine outbreak in the Karamoja region of Uganda. This initiative was intended to complement government effort in food relief distribution in Karamoja region.
The organization provided 200 families in Kapedo, Karenga district Karamoja region with 25kgs of posho and 25kgs of beans, 12 sachets of salt and 5 liters of cooking oil on average per household.
The 200 food packages were a total of the contributions made following the organizations emergency plea to its donor organizations and partners.
